terms of use

the short version

These are the rules for using bob, which is run by Refrez. You must be 18 or older. You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us a narrow permission to store and process it so the app can work for you. Please be kind and do not misuse the service. Bob is a friendly companion powered by AI, not a doctor, therapist or emergency service, and he can be wrong. You can stop using bob and delete your account at any time. If we change these terms in an important way, we will ask you to accept them again. Questions go to bob@refrez.com.

about these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Refrez ("we", "us"). They apply when you make an account or use the bob apps and web app. This version is effective from 20 October 2026. Please also read our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your information.

who can use bob

You must be at least 18 years old. If the law where you live says you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use an online service at your age, you may only use bob with it. You must give us true account details and keep them up to date.

your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password and your devices safe. Tell us at bob@refrez.com if you think someone else has got into your account. One person should use one account. We may close an account that is shared, made by automated means, or made after we closed another one.

what you may and may not do

Use bob for yourself, in a lawful and respectful way. Do not use it to harm or harass anyone, to break the law, or to share content that is illegal or that exploits or endangers others, including children. Do not try to break into the service, probe it for weaknesses, overload it, or get around limits, sign-in checks or safety checks. Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing AI product or to collect data from it in bulk. Do not use bob to send spam. Do not use the trusted contact or invite features to contact someone who has not agreed.

your content

What you write, say, record and upload to bob, such as notes, tasks, journal lines, chats, photos and voice, is your content. You own it. We do not claim ownership of it.

You give Refrez a narrow, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to store, copy, process and transmit your content, and to pass it to the services that help us run bob, but only so that we can provide, secure and improve the service for you. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for the short delays described in the privacy policy. We do not use your content for ads and we do not sell it.

You are responsible for your content. Do not put in anything you have no right to share. If you share a task with a buddy or send an invite, you are sharing that content with them.

bob and replies written by AI

Bob's replies are written by an AI system. They can be wrong, out of date, incomplete or unsuitable for you. Check anything that matters, such as a time, a date, a dose or an amount, before you rely on it. Bob may misunderstand a voice note and turn it into the wrong note or task, so look it over. You are responsible for what you do with a reply.

safety and wellbeing

bob is a friendly companion. It is not a doctor, a therapist or an emergency service, and it does not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. It cannot replace a professional or someone who knows you. Nothing bob says is a diagnosis or a treatment.

Bob has a safety check that looks for signs of danger and can show a helpline for your country. The list of helplines is managed by us and may be incomplete or out of date. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services right away. You can name a trusted contact who bob may help you reach, but only if you tap yes each time, and the app cannot promise that anyone will see or answer a message. Listening mode is a calmer way to chat and is not therapy.

bob+ and payments

bob has a free part and an optional paid part called bob+. Some bob+ features start a free trial of 7 days. The trial starts the first time you use an bob+ feature. Friends you invite can earn both of you extra free bob+ time, and these rewards add up, and they have no cash value.

You pay for bob+ through Google Play or the App Store, using your account there, and their terms apply to payment. We do not see or keep your card details. A subscription renews until you cancel it in the store you bought it from, and cancelling stops the next renewal. Refunds follow the store's rules, and we cannot refund a payment that the store holds. Prices can change, and the price you see in the store before you buy is the price that counts. If we change the price of an existing subscription, the store will tell you and the change will not apply until you have been told and allowed to cancel, as the store's rules require.

availability and changes to the service

We work to keep bob running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features, limits and plans, or stop the service, for example for maintenance, for safety or to follow the law. If we stop something important to you, we will try to give you notice, and a chance to download your data.

ending your use

You can stop using bob at any time, and you can delete your account in the app. Your account is deleted after 7 days unless you restore it in that time. You can download your data first.

We may suspend or close an account, with notice where we can, if you break these terms, if you put the service, other people or us at risk, or if the law requires it. If we close your account without a good reason related to you, we will tell you and give you a way to get your data. The parts of these terms that are meant to continue, such as the rules on content, disclaimers and liability, continue after your account ends.

disclaimers

bob is provided "as it is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that the service will meet your needs, be free of mistakes or interruptions, or keep your data from ever being lost. Keep your own backup of anything you cannot afford to lose. Information from bob is general and may be wrong. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that cannot be taken away.

limit of our responsibility

As far as the law allows, Refrez is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, or for decisions you make based on bob's replies. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything connected with bob is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last twelve months or a small fixed amount. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law, such as responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

your responsibility to us

If you break these terms and that causes us a loss or a claim by someone else, you are responsible for it as far as the law allows. This does not take away any rights you have as a consumer that the law does not let us remove.

governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there where the law gives you that right. Before starting a formal dispute, please write to us at bob@refrez.com so we can try to fix it.

changes to these terms

We may change these terms. For a small change, such as fixing a typo, we update the page and the date. For an important change, we will show you the new terms in the app and ask you to accept them again before you carry on. If you do not accept them, you can stop using bob and delete your account.

other things

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account to someone else. We may transfer these terms to another company that takes over bob, with notice to you. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about bob.
